Art/Expressive Therapy

This process of art therapy, which is not about making art, can alleviate emotional stress and anxiety by creating physiological response of relaxation or by altering mood, and increase serotonin in the brain.

Because art expression is not a linear process and need not obey the rules of language, it can express many complexities simultaneously. This process can help people explore and express themselves authentically and find relief from overwhelming emotions, crises, or trauma. Insights and a sense of well-being may be some of the outcomes.
