Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy

The work, based on the client-centered approach of Carl Rogers, is oriented toward trusting the innate capacities and motivations for healing and transformation that exist within all of us; it is the role of the practitioner to support that process rather than to diagnose or fix people. Phoenix Rising Therapy combines the ancient science of Hatha yoga with modern day mind/body psychology to invite presence and awareness rather than prescribing treatments. Supported yoga postures, energy balancing, chakra balancing, breath work, guided imagery and reflective dialogue are all used concurrently in this process. Clients are guided in the interpretation of their own insights in order to make life choices based upon their new awareness.
